Verizon has announced that the LTE-equipped Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet will begin to ship in the coming weeks. The device, which has been tweaked since its initial introduction early this year at Mobile World Congress, represents the largest model in Samsung's Galaxy Tab series, with a 10.1-inch display and NVIDIA's dual-core Tegra 2 processor.
The revision that showed up in March at CTIA features a slimmer profile than the European edition, with a thickness of just 8.6mm. Other features include an eight-megapixel primary camera, two-megapixel front-facing camera, and Android 3.1.
Verizon will begin taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 on June 8, with a launch expected in the "coming weeks." Customers will be able to choose from the 16GB version for $530, or the 32GB variant for $630.
